Questions
Ayurvedic consultation FAQs
Do I need to know anything about Ayurveda first?
No. Many people come to their first consultation knowing very little about Ayurveda. Joann explains each idea in plain language as it comes up, and your rhythm plan uses everyday terms.
Is this medical advice?
No. Ayurvedic lifestyle consultations are educational and focus on daily routine, food rhythm, rest and the seasons. They don't diagnose or treat any health condition. For medical concerns, please talk with your doctor, and keep them informed about changes to your routine.
Will you recommend herbs or supplements?
No. Consultations focus on routine and lifestyle: when and how you eat, sleep, move and rest. Joann doesn't recommend herbs, supplements or condition-based protocols.
What do I need for the online session?
A quiet, private spot, a phone or computer with a camera, and a steady internet connection. Your Zoom link arrives with your booking confirmation. Fill out the short intake form before your session.
Can I come in person?
Consultations are online only, so you can join from anywhere. If you'd like hands-on Ayurvedic care at our Overland Park studio, see our Ayurvedic body treatments.
What's the cancellation policy?
Our standard Very Well KC cancellation and no-show policy applies to online sessions. You'll see the full policy when you book through Vagaro.
Ayurvedic lifestyle consultations are educational and focus on daily routine and lifestyle. They do not diagnose, treat or cure any condition and are not a substitute for medical care. Talk with your doctor about any health concern.
