About Sudiebelle Art
Sudiebelle Art is a Live Painter and a Reiki Teacher. As a Healing Artist, Sudie began painting the Ensō naturally, as a way to combine her passions for Reiki and painting into one daily practice.
What is the Ensō?
The Ensō is Japanese for circle and is traditionally painted in Zen practice as a way to attain Samādhi- meditative consciousness. And Rei—ki, is Japanese for Universal Life Force Energy. In combining the Ensō painting with Reiki healing, the body becomes a vessel for Ki-Life Force Energy to move through, and the Ensō is the visual art created by the movement of that energy.
The Class
Sudiebelle will begin with a Zazen meditation and a Live Ensō Performance for the class. She will then guide attendees in a sound meditation and in creation of their own traditional Ensō! The first round will be on rice paper with sumi ink.
Then, you will be guided in a moving meditation, followed with the creation of a contemporary style Ensō with acrylic paint on a canvas!
At the end of the class, there will be time to share and integrate your Ensō creations if you’d like! We will all close by grounding the creative spirit into our bodies, minds and communities.
